This was an assignment from a forum thread that I follow called the Daily Sketch Group. The assignment was to create an alien monument or formation with red stones.

This, is what came from my mind. Some kind of warped trunk-like formation. Now, we're limited to only 1.5hrs per sketch (though, you are on an honor code), so that's all I took to do it in. Which is why some parts look unfinished or out of whack. But that's okay, it's only a sketch.

I actually haven't posted a single thing on the forum. I simply follow along and try my hand at the day's topic. I actually considered submitting this. But sadly, like most other artwork, if you take a bad photo it's dead. And this picture killed this piece. So, even though it's not at a high enough caliber to post on some other forums, I think it's fine to post here.
