Tiamat ::enhanced::

This was a painting I did back in August, before school ever start. But, I found a little while ago and decided I wanted to put it in my portfolio before I gave it to who it was originally intended to be given to. I started in micron pens, making the line art, and then moved onto watercolor to get a nice washed/aged color to it. However, even after 8 washes of nearly pure black, I still wasn't getting the background really dark. I wanted more depth. So, instead of continuing to destroy the paper, I went over my watercolor with acrylic washes and straight acrylic here and there. In the end, I think it turned out quite nice.

Hopefully the admissions officers will think the same @_@
