I guess I should use this thingy... maybe a blog?

Tue Feb 10, 2009, 6:12 PM
I was thinking about updating this a week or so ago, when I had my NCState interview.... but didn't xD (Yea for Captian Obvious!). However, I am here now, to update. I'm also thinking about doing some sort of blog thing... nothing too long or anything. And for Heaven's sake, not everyday! I'm really not that commited to letting the very few people who even look at my page know what's going on in my life (I do kind of like privousy... or atleast the illusion of it).

Anyway, January 31. That was quite the day. I went to NCState University to have my admisions interview. I put together a portfolio and traveled to the campus to present the work to a "judge," for lack of a better word. My interview lasted for roughly 30 minutes, and it actually wasn't that bad. I was surprised. My interviewer asked me a couple of questions like, "what do I expect from the school?" and "Describe the strangest place you've been." etc. I had a hard time not giving the same answers though, because he kept asking generally the same question, just in a different way (I don't know if that's because I just wasn't answering it the way he wanted me to, or he just didn't know what else to ask). But, after 20 minutes we got around to my art. That meant that each of my pieces would only recieve about a minute to look at. I d'unno, maybe he was just really good at looking at art work and deciding whether it was good and seeing all the elements, or he just really didn't care about the elements of the piece and focused more on the design aspects (considering it is more of a design school). But, when we did look at my stuff if seemed well recieved. The only critique he really had was that I should have arched the back of Tiamat a little more, because the action sort of stops at the wings, because it levels out too much. Which, after looking at it, I completely agree.. However I'm not going to go back and fix it because it hopefully will no longer be in my possession soon (giving it as a very very very very late request).

So yeah, besides that, I've started Art IV and am doing alright so far.... I guess we'll see how it plays out. Pray for me!

Alright, pick your religion. Personally, I would go with a monotheistic religion, such as The Brothers. Lob some mojo at the Brother of Blood for will, Dye for Creation, and possibly some at Silence just to cover your bases.

As a somewhat random question, what forms of extra-curricular padding did he talk about? Was there ever a chance to build up into a "what I can do for this community" speal?
